Navzdory tisícom blýzkym stretnutiam nemáme žiadny hmatateľný vedecký či technický dôkaz o existencii uvedených javov. ľudia, ktorí prežili spirituálny kontakt dôverného charakteru, sú si istí tým, čo videli a počuli. Duchovia a prízraky sa zjavujú prevdepodobne iba na základe istých vezieb k žijúcim ¾uïom, ku konkrétnym domom, budovám, bojovím poliam a miestam, kde duch kedysi žil alebo zomrel. Takáto duchovná entita doteraz neprerušila svoje väzby s pozemskou rovinou.
Niektorý duchovia nevedia, ako preruši� svoje pozemské väzby, iný si neuvedomujú, že zomreli, ďalší zase majú dojem, že ešte nedali do poriadku svoje pozemské záležitosti. Struène povedané, duchovia pripútaní k zemi sú zmätení a neš�astní. Uviazli medzi dvoma svetmi. Strašidelní duchovia niesú väèšimou zlí a mnohým z nich vlieva silu strach, s ktorým ich vnímame. Niektorí znich sú plní hnevu, nenávisti a tužby po pomste, ale väèšinou sú to len stratené duše.
Rozlišujeme: prízraky sú zosnulí netelesní duchovia potilujúci sa medzi nami a hľadajúci svoju vlastnú realitu. Niektorí z ních nemôžu odísť�, niektorí nechcú, iní zase nevedia ako odís�, mnohých z ních �ažia ich minulé skutky. Môžu sa zjavi� jednému človeku alebo niekoľkým ľuďom súčastne. Zdá sa, že takéto stretnutia sa najčastejšie prihodia psychicky vnímavým alebo poučeným ľuďom.
Prízraky sa môžu objaviť� ako pevné, neostré, polopriehľadné alebo strieborne biele entity. Niektoré prízraky hovoria alebo spevajú, vznášajú sa alebo chodia - záleží to na miere sústredenia ich energie. Sú také zjavenia spôsobené myšlienkovou projekciou pozorovateľa, predovšetkým keď má pozorovateľ mimoriadne vyvinutú schopnos�ť mymozmyslového vnímania a telekinézy? Je naša predstavivos�ť či strach pre prízraky zdrojom sily? Zdá sa, že prízraky je možné rozdeli� do troch kategórií:
1. Pasívne: tiene, slabé, smutné, priesvitné
2. Nezbedné: prejavujú sa slovne alebo dokonca hlučne, majú kompaktný vzhľad - "Pozri sa na mňa!"
3. Zlomyselné: hlasité, agresívne, bojovné, desivé, niekedy prejavujú i náznaky zúrivosti.
Vetšina takýchto netelesných entít sa prejavuje pod rúškom noci, obvykle okolo štvrtej hodiny rannej, ale boli zaznamenané tiež zjavenia za denného svetla. Objavujú sa vo snoch a samozrejme pri seánsach. Inými slovami povedané, objavujú sa kedykoľvek sa im zachce.
Prízraky sa im môžu objavi� v snoch alebo v spánku, predovšetkým hypnotickom. Objavujú sa na počiatku fáze hlbokého spánku, alebo vo fáze prebúdzania. Obe snové fázy sa nazývajú snové halucinácie.
Počula som o prípadoch duchov zjavujúcich sa za niekoľko rokov po svojej prvej navšteve: vo výročný deň ich smrti, ak nastanú �ťažkosti v rodine žijúcich príbuzných, alebo pokiaľ existovala silná väzba medzi zomrelým a žijúcim človekom.
Sú a nami, či sú už dobrí, zlí alebo neutrálni. Naviazali sme pravdepodobne viacej stykov s netelesnými entitami, ako si uvedomujeme.
